HEALTH AND SAFETY

At Modesto Youth Soccer Association / Ajax United, the health and safety of our players, coaches, and families is our top priority. We are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment that allows players to grow, develop, and thrive both on and off the field.

Injury Prevention and Management
All coaches receive training in basic first aid and injury prevention techniques. We emphasize proper warm-up and cool-down routines at all training sessions. Injuries are monitored closely, and players are not permitted to return to play until they receive medical clearance when required.

Concussion Protocol
Modesto Youth Soccer Association / Ajax United follows state and national concussion protocols to ensure player safety. Any player suspected of having a concussion will be immediately removed from play and must provide written clearance from a medical professional before returning to training or matches.

Hygiene and Facility Cleanliness
We maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at all training and match locations. Players are required to bring their own water bottles and personal equipment to limit cross-contamination. Shared equipment is regularly cleaned and disinfected.

Illness and Public Health Guidelines
Players showing symptoms of illness, including fever, cough, or fatigue, should stay home and notify their coach. In the case of a public health concern or outbreak, Modesto Youth Soccer Association / Ajax United will follow the guidance of local health authorities and governing soccer bodies. Virtual or modified training options may be offered if necessary.

Emergency Action Plan
All teams follow a documented Emergency Action Plan. Coaches and staff are trained to respond quickly and effectively to on-field emergencies. Emergency contact information for each player is kept up to date and accessible during all practices and games.

Required Forms and Health Disclosures
Prior to each season, families must submit a completed Medical Release Form and Emergency Contact Information. It is the responsibility of each parent or guardian to inform the club of any medical conditions, allergies, or restrictions that could affect a player’s participation.
