Mission

Modesto Youth Soccer Association / Ajax United’s mission is to foster a lifelong love for soccer by providing a positive, inclusive, and development-driven environment for players of all ages and abilities. We are committed to teaching the game through fun, learning, and sportsmanship, while offering a clear pathway from recreational participation to high-level competitive play. Through soccer, we develop skilled players, strong teammates, and individuals of character.

Vision

Our vision is to be a leading community-based soccer club that sets the standard for player development, character building, and competitive excellence. Modesto Youth Soccer Association / Ajax United strives to create accessible entry points for all players, while empowering motivated athletes to pursue their highest potential, whether that path leads to advanced competition, collegiate opportunities, or lifelong engagement with the game.

Philosophy

Modesto Youth Soccer Association / Ajax United believes soccer is a powerful platform for developing both athletes and people. Our philosophy is guided by the following principles:

  • Player-First Development: Long-term growth over short-term results.
  • Inclusive Foundations: Recreation as the heartbeat of the club fun, safe, and welcoming.
  • Intentional Competition: Higher standards, accountability, and purposeful challenge.
  • Clear Player Pathway: Transparent movement from recreation to elite levels within the club.
  • Character & Sportsmanship: Respect, resilience, and teamwork taught daily.
  • Coaching Excellence: Unified methodology and continuous coach education.

Director of Coaching – Inspiration & Club Values

Words that guide our culture, expectations, and daily work.

Development is not about rushing players to the top, it’s about preparing them so they’re ready when opportunity comes.
— Ayden Masudi, Director of Coaching

Every player deserves to feel valued. Not every player will play at the same level, but every player can grow.

Winning matters, but how we win, and who we become in the process matters more.

Recreation builds the love for the game. Competition sharpens it. Both are essential.

Our job isn’t just to coach soccer, it’s to teach accountability, confidence, and resilience through the game.

The pathway should never close a door, it should open the next one.

Great players are developed over time. Great people are developed every day.
